Local Currency
The local currency is 'hungarian forint' (HUF). Euro is accepted in many places, however might cause problems sometimes. Arriving by car - Parking
In Budapest, there is a charge for parking on working days from 8 am to 6 pm (in inner city to 8 pm). Parking is free of charge on Saturdays and Sundays. When parking, you must buy a ticket from the nearest ticket vending machine for the full parking period. This ticket should be placed behind the windscreen. It is the recommended to leave your car on workdays at a parking company's place where you don't have to worry about the expiration of your parking ticket.

Public Transportation
